On October 30, 2025, employees of Mingachevir State University (MDU) organized a scientific-practical seminar dedicated to the “Children’s Rights Month,” declared within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.” The event took place at Secondary School No. 13 in Mingachevir.
The seminar was moderated by Professor Farah Jalil, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology at MDU, who opened the event by speaking about the importance of protecting children’s rights, raising their awareness, and enhancing their legal knowledge.
At the beginning of the event, a video dedicated to children’s rights was presented. Then, MDU staff members delivered presentations on various topics: Polad Atayev, legal advisor of MDU, spoke on “Children’s Rights, Their Types, and Legal Responsibility in Cases of Violation”; Nargiz Niftaliyeva, lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, presented on “Say No to Violence: Psychological Self-Protection Skills”; and Aydin Karimov, another lecturer of the department, delivered a talk titled “Big Rights of Little Hearts.”
At the end of the seminar, discussions were held with the school students, their questions were answered, and informative conversations on children’s rights were conducted.
It should be noted that throughout the year, various events are organized at Mingachevir State University within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.”
