A seminar on “Enhancing the Role of Women in STEM Fields” was held at Mingachevir State University

A seminar titled “Enhancing the Role of Women in STEM Fields” was successfully held at Mingachevir State University. The event was organized in line with the education policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the principles of gender equality, and modern innovative approaches to education.

The main objective of the seminar was to increase women’s interest in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), to inform participants about existing opportunities and prospects, and to encourage their involvement in scientific and professional activities.

Within the framework of the seminar, participants received comprehensive information about current development trends in STEM fields, the achievements of women scientists and specialists, the challenges they face, and possible ways to overcome these challenges.

As part of the seminar program, the following presentations were delivered:

• “Women’s Leadership in STEAM: Builders of the Digital Future” – Mahsati Aliyeva, Lecturer at the Department of Information Technologies, Mingachevir State University.

• “Women and Innovation: The Scientific Foundation of Sustainable Development” – Khayala Huseynzade, Lecturer at the Department of Physics and Ecology, Mingachevir State University.

• “The Role of Women in STEM: Observations and Realities from Teaching Experience – The Case of MSU” – Assoc. Prof. Huseyn Azer, Lecturer at the Department of Information Technologies, Mingachevir State University.

The event was met with great interest by the participants. At the end of the seminar, participants emphasized the importance of strengthening the role of women in STEM fields and exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects in this direction in the future.
