A competition on “Industrial Safety and Smart Infrastructure” was organized by the Department of Business and Management of Mingachevir State University. The event was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Mingachevir, where teams consisting of MDU students presented innovative ideas and solutions related to the topic.

The main aim of the event was to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in industrial safety, risk management, and modern smart infrastructure approaches, as well as to promote innovative thinking and teamwork. Within the framework of the competition, participants delivered presentations on the implementation of safety standards in industrial enterprises, the effective use of technological solutions, and the capabilities of digital management systems.

Three student teams from Mingachevir State University — “Sensible Guys,” “Zəfər,” and “SKY Shield” — participated in the competition and presented their ideas and projects aimed at strengthening industrial safety and developing smart infrastructure. During their presentations, the teams demonstrated various innovative approaches related to the application of modern technologies, reducing risks in industrial environments, and optimizing safety systems.

During the event, it was emphasized that such initiatives play an important role in developing students’ practical knowledge, enabling them to propose innovative solutions aligned with the needs of the real sector, and strengthening university–industry cooperation.

It should be noted that initiatives carried out at Mingachevir State University to develop students’ innovative thinking, technological competencies, and knowledge of safe production environments contribute significantly to the promotion of modern industrial and infrastructure solutions, the formation of sustainable and safe urban environments, and the strengthening of a quality and practice-oriented higher education environment.
