Anar Eminov, the Rector of Mingachevir State University, participated in the “Innostart Grand Final – Demo Day” event

On August 20, 2025, the “Innostart Grand Final – Demo Day” event was held with the support of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and in partnership with SUP.VC. The final stage of the project brought together innovative young people, university representatives, startup teams, and business representatives from various regions of the country. A delegation led by Anar Eminov, Rector of Mingachevir State University, also participated in the event held at the Baku Congress Center.

Speaking during the event, Rector Anar Eminov emphasized the significance of the project and described “Innostart” as one of the important initiatives contributing to the development of the innovation ecosystem in the regions. He stated that the steps taken by Azerbaijan in the fields of digital development and innovation have created important opportunities, especially for revealing the knowledge and skills of young people in the regions and encouraging them to put forward initiatives based on new ideas. Anar Eminov noted that the support provided to 35 new innovative projects within a short period of time through the “Innostart” project is a clear indicator of the achievements gained in this direction. He stressed that MSU highly appreciates such initiatives and believes that the knowledge and ideas of young people will contribute to the future development of the country. At the end of his speech, he congratulated all participating teams, expressed gratitude to the organizers, and wished the young participants success in their future activities.

Within the framework of the event, Faiq Yusifli and Mushfig Huseynov, employees of MSU who successfully completed the Training for Trainers program organized by SUP.VC, were awarded certificates. It should be noted that the “Innostart” project has been implemented since September 2024. Within the framework of the project, awareness-raising events, hackathons, and incubation programs were organized, and a total of 35 new innovative projects received support. Of these projects, 17 advanced to the final stage and were presented at the “Demo Day.” In the final stage, the “Grand Final – Demo Day” was organized with a prize fund of 50,000 AZN.
