Mingachevir State University organized “Innovation and Technology Days” to foster a culture of innovative thinking, integrate modern technological trends into the academic environment, and strengthen collaboration-focused idea exchange among students. The event was jointly initiated by the Lifelong Learning School and the Research and Innovation Department.
Within the program, participants discussed current challenges in fields such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, smart systems, data analytics, and Industry 4.0, and developed preliminary conceptual approaches to address these issues. In addition, discussions were held on the application of technologies in various sectors and their socio-economic impacts.
During the event, students and young researchers worked in teams to propose ideas aimed at real-world problems and developed these ideas into prototypes and project concepts. Notable approaches included smart management systems, digital service platforms, process automation solutions, and innovative educational technologies.
The main goal of “Innovation and Technology Days” was not only to generate ideas but also to evaluate their practical applicability and determine their potential for integration into real sectors. This approach allowed participants to combine technical knowledge with practical thinking.
Through intensive sessions and group work, participants enhanced their analytical thinking, multidimensional problem-solving, and innovative solution development skills in a short period. The process also positively impacted their presentation and team management abilities.
In the final stage, participants presented their ideas to an expert panel, with evaluation criteria including innovativeness, implementation potential, technological justification, and social benefit. The most promising projects were selected, recommendations for further development were provided, and potential future collaborations were discussed.
“Innovation and Technology Days” has been recognized as an important platform that strengthens the university’s innovation ecosystem, develops students’ technological mindset, and enhances future startup potential.
