On April 6, 2026, within the framework of the Second Forum of Azerbaijani and Kazakh Rectors held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Mingachevir State University (MSU) and Karaganda Buketov University.
The memorandum was signed by Anar Eminov, Rector of Mingachevir State University, and Nurlan Dulatbekov, Rector of Karaganda Buketov University.
The signed memorandum envisages the expansion of cooperation between the two higher education institutions in areas of mutual interest, the development of educational and scientific activities, and the strengthening of international academic partnerships.
According to the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in the preparation and implementation of joint scientific research projects, the promotion of exchanges among academic staff, students, and administrative personnel, as well as increasing mutual interest in teaching and research activities. In addition, the document envisages creating conditions for the participation of academic staff from partner universities in various teaching and scientific activities, and for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students to benefit from educational and research opportunities.
The document also reflects important areas of cooperation, including the organization of joint conferences, symposiums, short-term courses, and scientific meetings; the exchange of innovative teaching and management practices; and the implementation of joint initiatives in the fields of sustainable development and environmental management.
It should be noted that Mingachevir State University continues its consistent efforts to expand international cooperation relations, strengthen integration into the global educational space, and establish strategic partnerships aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
