The International Scientific Conference on “Contemporary Issues in Language, Education, Research, and Sustainability,” held at Mingachevir State University, concluded successfully within the framework of a comprehensive program featuring panel discussions, parallel sessions, section meetings, academic workshops, and a scientific-practical forum.

The conference, held on May 18–19, 2026, was jointly organized by Mingachevir State University and Dokuz Eylul University of Türkiye. The event was conducted as part of a series of activities in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 22, 2025, and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.

Within the framework of the conference, more than 545 scientific papers and abstracts were presented by scholars and researchers representing 77 higher education and research institutions from 23 countries. This figure once again confirmed the international scale of the event and its high reputation as a scientific platform.

The second day of the conference — May 19 — was particularly marked by dynamic and productive discussions. Panel sessions held throughout the day extensively analyzed issues related to language, culture, and national identity, as well as the interrelationship between language, education, and technology in the modern era. The panel presentations facilitated an exchange of views on current challenges in linguistics, translation studies, sociolinguistics, digital communication, and educational strategies.

At the same time, parallel scientific sessions and section meetings featured presentations of research findings across various fields, fostering scientific discussions and creating an interactive environment among participants. Within the framework of the academic workshops, practical knowledge and experience were exchanged on modern teaching methods, language learning technologies, and research methodologies.

As one of the key components of the conference, the international scientific-practical forum addressed the development of students’ pedagogical practice, innovative approaches in education, and models of academic training. The forum was regarded as an important platform contributing to the professional development of young researchers and future educators.

Over the course of two days, the event went beyond theoretical discussions, creating favorable conditions for expanding cooperation among different scientific schools, strengthening international academic networks, and shaping new prospects for joint research.

At the conclusion of the conference, participants emphasized that the integration of language, education, research, and sustainability is one of the key priorities for the development of a knowledge-based society in the modern era. In this regard, the international conference organized at Mingachevir State University was highly appreciated as a significant platform for deepening scientific cooperation, promoting innovative approaches, and advancing global academic dialogue.

It should be noted that the scientific outcomes achieved within the framework of the conference are expected to evolve into joint projects, publications, and international initiatives in the future. This is regarded as an indicator of the event’s lasting scientific impact and strategic importance.
