In line with its innovation-oriented development strategy, Mingachevir State University is taking an important step toward expanding international cooperation in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The university is initiating collaboration with Türkiye’s leading higher education institutions – Middle East Technical University and OSTIM Technical University.

Within the framework of the “International UAV Technologies Development Project” proposed by MSU, the cooperation proposal was positively received by both universities, and a preliminary agreement was reached regarding the implementation of joint activities.

As part of the collaboration, the partner universities stated that they are ready to support the project at both academic staff and student levels. The project envisages the participation of both university personnel and students with potential in the relevant fields.

In addition, selected students and academic staff of MSU studying in the specialties of “Electrical and Electronics Engineering,” “Industrial Engineering,” “Computer Engineering,” “Information Technologies,” “Information Security,” and “Transportation Engineering” are planned to participate in short-term training and development programs to be organized at the aforementioned Turkish universities. Within the framework of these programs, scheduled to take place in May, participants will gain practical knowledge and skills in the field of UAV technologies.

At the same time, it is planned to involve the specialized academic staff of the partner universities in the project and organize joint scientific research activities. This cooperation model will not only strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience between universities but also create a foundation for achieving tangible results in the development of high technologies in the region, particularly unmanned aerial vehicles.

This initiative of MSU is of great importance in terms of strengthening university–industry–research integration, promoting the practice-oriented development of engineering education, and forming innovative human capital in the region.

It should be noted that in recent years, Mingachevir State University has been placing special emphasis on expanding its international partnerships and shaping new approaches in applied scientific research and technology transfer.
