Rector of Mingachevir State University Anar Eminov visited the Faculty of Information Technologies and Artificial Intelligence of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the second day of the “Study in Azerbaijan” education exhibition held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the visit, the rector closely familiarized himself with the faculty’s modern material and technical base, educational and research infrastructure, innovative laboratories, as well as projects implemented in the fields of artificial intelligence and big data.

The guest was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, Timur Imankulov, who provided detailed information about the faculty’s activities, international cooperation, and priority areas.

During the meeting, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Madina Mansurova, also informed participants about the activities carried out in relevant fields within the faculty.

Within the framework of the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in the field of engineering, participation of teachers and students in the “Orhun Exchange Program,” as well as the establishment of a joint “EcoEnergy and Water Innovation Hub” were discussed.

During the discussions, preliminary agreements were reached between the parties regarding the establishment of a technopark at Mingachevir State University with the support of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, expansion of student and academic staff exchange programs, implementation of joint scientific research projects, and development of the innovation and startup ecosystem.

The meeting continued with an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest and created an important foundation for future cooperation.

It should be noted that Mingachevir State University is actively represented at the “Study in Azerbaijan” education exhibition held in Almaty.
