On April 3, 2026, a conference titled “April Battles: The First Steps of the March to Victory” was held at Mingachevir State University. The conference was attended by the Rector of the university Anar Eminov, as well as members of the academic and administrative staff of MSU.

The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a one-minute silence in memory of the martyrs.

Opening the conference with an introductory speech, Rector Anar Eminov spoke about the special significance of the April Battles in the military history of Azerbaijan and emphasized that this victory marked the beginning of the path leading to subsequent triumphs.

Afterwards, a video presentation dedicated to the “April Battles” was shown.

The conference continued with presentations by speakers. Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Almaz Aliyeva delivered a speech titled “April Battles – The Foundation Stone of the Road to Victory.” Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Nushaba Gadimli presented a report titled “April Battles – The Beginning of the Great Return,” highlighting the strategic importance of the events. Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy Aygun Gadirova also delivered a presentation on “A Political and Historical Perspective on the April Battles.”

The presentations were met with great interest by the participants.

Participants of the conference noted that the April Battles were a vivid example of the national unity of the Azerbaijani people, the strength of its army, and its unbreakable determination.
