On May 22, 2026, Mingachevir State University (MSU) is participating in the 6th Turkic World Literature and Book Festival, which will continue for five days, with a delegation led by Rector Anar Eminov and a dedicated exhibition stand. Held at the Academy of Sciences Park, the international festival serves as an important platform for promoting the common literary and cultural values of the Turkic world, as well as fostering cooperation in science and education.
Organized by the Union of International Turkic Authors, the festival features MSU’s exhibition stand, where books authored by the university’s scholars, scientific publications, projects developed by faculty members and students, the university’s international cooperation initiatives, and activities implemented within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals are being showcased.
During the opening ceremony, speakers emphasized the importance of preserving the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic world, promoting book culture, and educating younger generations. Within the framework of the event, scholars, writers, publishers, and public figures from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are taking part.
The festival days are planned to be organized around special thematic concepts representing participating countries. As part of the program, poetry sessions, book presentations, scientific conferences, panel discussions, film screenings, and concert programs will be held. In addition, anniversaries of prominent literary figures of the Turkic world are being commemorated.
Within the framework of the festival, university representatives are holding meetings with representatives of various higher education institutions, publishing houses, and international organizations to discuss future cooperation opportunities.
It should be noted that MSU’s participation in the festival is regarded as another example of the university’s contribution to fostering an open academic environment, strengthening international partnerships, and promoting socio-cultural values.
