As part of the 5th “Cyber Summer School 2026” cyber summer camp, organized by the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association in Mingachevir, an information tour of the country’s energy infrastructure facilities was arranged for the participants.

During the tour, the participants first visited the Central Aran Regional SCADA Control Center of “Azerishiq” OJSC. They were provided with detailed information about the centralized management of the electricity network, real-time monitoring processes, digital control solutions, and modern technologies applied in the energy sector.

The participants then visited the Thermal Power Plant of “AzerEnergy” OJSC located in Mingachevir. During the visit, a comprehensive presentation was delivered on the plant’s areas of operation, electricity generation processes, technological capabilities, and its strategic role in ensuring the country’s energy security.

As part of the information tour, a responsible representative of “Azerishiq” OJSC conducted a training session for the participants on the operating principles of SCADA systems, their role in the reliable and sustainable management of energy infrastructure, and the cybersecurity significance of these systems.

Overall, the information tour aimed to broaden young people’s knowledge of the energy sector, SCADA systems, and the protection of strategic infrastructure, connect their theoretical knowledge with a real working environment, and familiarize them with modern technologies applied at critical infrastructure facilities.
