The event was jointly organized by the Faculties of Law and Engineering, providing participants with the opportunity to develop innovative solutions at the intersection of law and technology.

During the hackathon, participants analyzed current issues in human rights, including inadequate legal awareness, limited access to rights, social injustices, and information gaps. They worked on digital solutions such as legal information platforms, applications to monitor citizens’ rights, digital tools promoting social justice, and technological systems enhancing transparency.

The primary goal of the hackathon was to enable participants to combine legal knowledge with technological skills to deliver innovative and implementable solutions to real social problems. Projects incorporated legal justification, technological capabilities, and social impact, presenting comprehensive approaches.

Throughout the event, participants engaged in intensive and dynamic teamwork, quickly transforming their ideas into functional project concepts. This process significantly developed their analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, sensitivity to social issues, and ability to create innovative solutions.

In the final stage, teams presented their projects to a panel of judges. Evaluation criteria included innovation, social impact, legal and technological compliance, and implementation potential. The most successful projects were recognized, and participants received practical recommendations for future development.

The “RightsGuard Hackathon” has been recognized as a key initiative that deepened students’ understanding of human rights and social justice, enabled them to create beneficial solutions through technology, and contributed to fostering a socially oriented innovation environment at the university.
