On October 19, 2022, the opening ceremony of the Energy Laboratory was held at Mingachevir State University (MSU). The event, organized on the eve of October 20 – Energy Workers’ Day, was attended by the Rector of MSU, Şahin Bayramov, Director of “Azerbaijan Thermal Power Plant” LLC, Təhmasib Hüseynov, Chief Engineer of Mingachevir Regional Electric Network, Rövşən Mustafayev, and other guests.

Participants were ознаком with the facilities and conditions established within the laboratory.

It was noted that the laboratory aims to enhance the quality and content of training highly qualified specialists in the field of energy engineering. The equipment and technical infrastructure of the laboratory were supported by “Azerbaijan Thermal Power Plant” LLC, Mingachevir Hydropower Plants Cascade, and the Mingachevir Regional Electric Network. In addition, Professor Cemal Yılmaz from Gazi University, who was engaged at MSU during the previous academic year, played an active role in the development of the project.

It was emphasized that the laboratory will be used in teaching a wide range of engineering disciplines and will contribute significantly to the development of students’ practical skills.

It should be noted that at MSU, which is undergoing a continuous modernization process, the establishment of laboratories and other essential infrastructure aimed at improving the quality of education remains a key priority.
