On May 20, 2026, within the framework of the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation signed between Mingachevir State University (MSU) and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), a business meeting was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University.

The meeting brought together representatives of the administrative and academic staff of both higher education institutions, where views were exchanged on the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation. The parties extensively discussed the alignment of academic programs, the organization of workforce training in engineering fields in line with the demands of the modern labor market, and the implementation of innovative approaches in education.

In addition, discussions were held on the implementation of dual degree projects in engineering disciplines, the promotion of student and faculty mobility, the introduction of a “Visiting Professor Program” starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, the organization of joint scientific research activities, and the expansion of academic experience exchange. Furthermore, considering cooperation opportunities with industrial enterprises, particular attention was paid to improving the efficiency of students’ industrial internships and practical training.

Within the framework of the meeting, representatives of Mingachevir State University were introduced to the Electronic Education Platform of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, which was upgraded and reintroduced from the 2025/2026 academic year. Detailed information was provided on the platform’s functional capabilities, its contribution to shaping a digital learning environment, the management of the teaching process, the efficient coordination of student-faculty communication, and assessment mechanisms.

It was emphasized that strengthening cooperation between the two universities is of significant importance in terms of improving quality in higher education, expanding digitalization, promoting innovative teaching methods, and preparing highly qualified engineering professionals.
