A new significant step has been taken toward strengthening inter-university cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Mingachevir State University (MDU) and Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation.

As part of the implementation of the memorandum, Samira Ahmadova, Head of the International Relations and Cooperation Department of MDU, paid a business visit to Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation in Malaysia.

During the visit, Samira Ahmadova closely observed the university’s material and technical infrastructure, innovation- and technology-oriented academic facilities, modern laboratories, digital learning environments, research and startup ecosystem, as well as sustainable and efficient campus management approaches.

Within the framework of the meetings, discussions were held on expanding academic cooperation between the higher education institutions, developing student and faculty exchange opportunities, promoting joint scientific research initiatives, innovation and technology transfer, as well as sharing international experience.

It was emphasized that a modern university model capable of responding to global challenges is characterized not only by quality education and scientific activity, but also by innovation-oriented management, internationalization, efficient use of resources, and the establishment of a sustainable campus environment. In this regard, the newly established partnership is expected to make a significant contribution to MDU’s internationalization strategy, strengthening its innovation potential, and integrating it into the modern higher education ecosystem.

The cooperation between MDU and Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation is expected to be further deepened in the coming period through joint projects, academic mobility programs, digital transformation, innovation initiatives, and institutional development.

This cooperation is regarded as an important platform for expanding Mingachevir State University’s international partnership network, strengthening global academic relations, and advancing an innovative and sustainable university model.
