A competition on “Energy Saving and Reducing Electricity Consumption” was held at Mingachevir State University

A competition on “Energy Saving and Reducing Electricity Consumption” was organized at Mingachevir State University (MSU) with the aim of promoting efficient use of energy resources, increasing environmental responsibility, and supporting students in generating innovative ideas in the field of energy efficiency.

The event was organized by the Department of Energy Engineering and provided participants with a platform to present creative approaches aimed at optimizing energy consumption.

Within the framework of the competition, participants presented various projects and ideas focused on the efficient use of electricity, reduction of energy losses, and application of alternative technological solutions. Students worked on innovative approaches such as smart management systems for energy saving, energy monitoring platforms, solutions promoting the use of renewable energy sources, and methods to reduce electricity consumption at the household level.

The main objective of the event was to enhance students’ knowledge in the field of energy efficiency, encourage them to think about environmentally and economically efficient solutions, and foster creative approaches to modern energy challenges. Participants presented their ideas and justified their practical applicability and potential contribution to energy saving.

In the final stage of the competition, the presented projects were evaluated by a jury panel. The evaluation was based on criteria such as innovativeness, application potential, impact on energy efficiency, and practical significance. The most successful and promising projects were specially recognized, and participants were provided with recommendations for further development of their ideas.

It should be noted that, Mingachevir State University regularly implements such initiatives aimed at raising awareness of energy efficiency, promoting sustainable development, and enhancing students’ practical skills in environmental responsibility.
