As part of the second day of the “Study in Azerbaijan” Education Fair held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, Anar Eminov, Rector of Mingachevir State University (MSU), visited the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

During the visit, the rector became closely acquainted with the faculty’s modern material and technical base, digital teaching and research infrastructure, innovative laboratories, as well as projects implemented in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data, and data analytics.

The MSU delegation was welcomed by Timur Imankulov, Dean of the Faculty, who provided detailed information about the faculty’s areas of activity, international cooperation network, innovation-oriented educational model, and strategic development priorities.

During the meeting, Madina Mansurova, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, presented the faculty’s practice-oriented projects, modern technological solutions, and scientific research activities.

The discussions focused on cooperation opportunities in engineering and high technologies, the participation of academic staff and students in the Orhun Exchange Program, as well as the establishment of a joint “EcoEnergy and Water Innovation Hub.”

During the negotiations, preliminary agreements were reached on establishing a technopark and innovation-oriented laboratories at MSU with the support of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, expanding student and academic staff mobility programs, implementing joint scientific research projects, and developing the startup and innovation ecosystem.

The meeting continued with an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest and created an important foundation for building a long-term strategic partnership between the universities.

It should be noted that Mingachevir State University is actively represented at the “Study in Azerbaijan” Education Fair in Almaty and continues its consistent efforts to expand international academic cooperation relations.
