Mingachevir State University (MSU) hosted the “Innovative Technology Ideas in Industry” startup competition, jointly organized by the Business Management and Information Technology Departments. The main goal of the event was to promote innovative thinking among students, support the development of new technological solutions applicable in the industrial sector, and encourage youth participation in the startup ecosystem.

Students from various academic programs participated in the competition in teams, presenting their startup projects. Participants proposed innovative ideas focused on optimizing production processes in industrial enterprises, implementing automation systems, solutions based on artificial intelligence and data analytics, increasing energy efficiency, and applying digital management technologies.

The submitted projects were evaluated by a jury based on criteria such as level of innovation, technical justification, practical implementation potential, economic efficiency, and presentation quality. The jury highly appreciated the students’ creative approaches and their ability to utilize modern technologies.

The event highlighted that such startup competitions contribute significantly to developing students’ entrepreneurial mindset, enhancing their ability to work on innovative projects, and expanding collaboration opportunities between the university and the industrial sector.

At the conclusion of the competition, the winning teams were announced and awarded, and students received recommendations for further development of their startup ideas.
