Mingachevir State University has hosted the “Sustainable Production Projects Competition in Regions” to promote production models that contribute to regional economic development, preserve ecological balance, and ensure efficient use of resources.
The event, initiated by the Lifelong Learning School, stood out as an important platform aimed at fostering a culture of sustainable production.
The main objective of the competition was to create opportunities for participants to develop practical production solutions applicable in regions and capable of generating real economic and environmental value. Within this framework, teams worked on projects related to efficient use of local resources, reduction of energy and material losses in production processes, implementation of environmentally friendly technologies, and development of circular economy models in agriculture and industry.
Throughout the process, participants analyzed regional production chains, identified existing challenges, and proposed innovative and practical approaches for optimization. The projects prioritized both economic efficiency and environmental sustainability, with a strong emphasis on transforming local resources into added value.
During the competition, teams went through intensive research and idea development stages, transforming their concepts into structured and practical project models. This process contributed to enhancing their analytical thinking, strategic planning, and applied skills.
At the final stage, participants presented their projects to a jury panel. The evaluation was based on criteria such as innovation, regional applicability, economic efficiency, environmental impact, and sustainability. The most outstanding projects were recognized as promising initiatives with the potential to contribute to regional development and were provided with recommendations for future implementation.
The “Sustainable Production Projects Competition in Regions” has been recognized as an important initiative contributing to the development of sustainable production thinking, integration of innovative approaches into regional economies, and strengthening of environmental responsibility among participants.
