On December 22, 2025, a seminar on “Studying abroad and international scholarship opportunities” was held at Mingachevir State University, organized by the Internship and Career Department.
The main aim of the seminar was to provide students at the bachelor’s and master’s levels with systematic and practical information about studying abroad opportunities, international scholarship programmes, and application procedures, as well as to expand their access to quality and inclusive higher education opportunities. The event also aimed to contribute to the development of young people’s knowledge and skills on an international level, the formation of competitive human capital, and the strengthening of sustainable career prospects.
As a speaker at the event, the coordinator of the International Relations and Cooperation Department, Parviz Mammadrzayev, delivered a presentation. He provided detailed information on the role of master’s studies in career development, the advantages of international academic experience in the labor market, and the importance of building global cooperation networks for both individual and institutional development. It was noted that opportunities for studying abroad not only contribute to personal achievement but also serve to strengthen the country’s intellectual potential and support the formation of a knowledge-based society.
İn the seminar, the following topics were discussed:
- The application process for Türkiye Scholarships;
- The DAAD programmes in Germany and the differences between university admissions;
- Major international scholarship programmes in Europe and Asia;
- Professional preparation of application documents (Statement of Purpose – SOP, CV).
During the speech, students were informed that, alongside academic achievements, it is also essential to develop social responsibility, adaptation skills in multicultural environments, and a culture of international cooperation. It was noted that international educational experience contributes to the development of individuals’ innovative thinking, strengthens research skills, and fosters a sensitive approach to global challenges.
The event continued in an interactive discussion format, participants’ questions were answered and practical recommendations were provided for students intending to study abroad, focusing on specific areas of guidance.
It should be noted that the activities carried out at Mingachevir State University aimed at expanding students’ international mobility opportunities, ensuring their integration into the global education and labor market, and supporting the continuous development of their knowledge and skills are part of a systematic and long-term strategy.
