A training session titled “Bioenergy and Energy Production Technologies from Waste” was held at the Mingachevir Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) with the joint organization of the Departments of Energy and Mechanics of Mingachevir State University. Students of the university and employees of the power plant participated in the training.
The purpose of the event was to inform participants about renewable energy sources, waste recycling technologies, and modern approaches used in the field of bioenergy, as well as to familiarize them with the technological and economic aspects of the energy production process.
During the training, Head of the Mechanics Department of MSU, Mahir Ismayilov, delivered a speech providing comprehensive information about waste recycling technologies, renewable energy sources, and the operating principles of bioenergy facilities. He presented detailed explanations about the stages of bioenergy production, the process of energy generation, and its transmission to consumers.
In his speech, Mahir Ismayilov also spoke about the significance of the Mingachevir Hydroelectric Power Plant in the country’s energy system, emphasizing that the electricity produced here is more cost-efficient in terms of production cost.
It should be noted that such practical trainings organized at Mingachevir State University in the fields of renewable energy, sustainable development, and ecological technologies play an important role in developing students’ professional knowledge and skills, familiarizing them with the industrial environment, and strengthening university–industry cooperation.
