Mingachevir State University hosted the “Economic and Technological Empowerment of Women” startup competition aimed at increasing women’s economic activity, expanding their participation in technology, and supporting innovative entrepreneurship initiatives. The event was jointly organized by the Internship and Career Department and the IT Department.
Within the competition, participants developed ideas that expand women’s economic and technological opportunities, analyzing existing challenges and creating innovative, implementable startup projects. Teams presented various solutions in areas such as promoting women’s entrepreneurship, enhancing digital skills, expanding remote work opportunities, facilitating access to technology, and establishing inclusive economic models.
The main goal of the competition was not only to familiarize participants with social challenges but also to encourage them to offer innovative and sustainable solutions. Participants designed comprehensive models that considered social impact, economic efficiency, and technological justification, ensuring real-world applicability.
During the event, participants worked intensively in teams, quickly transforming their ideas into functional project concepts. This process significantly contributed to the development of their analytical thinking, creative approaches, and innovative problem-solving skills.
In the final stage, teams presented their startup projects to the jury. Projects were evaluated based on innovation, social impact, contribution to women’s economic and technological empowerment, and implementation potential. The most successful projects were highlighted, and participants received practical recommendations for further development.
