New electric scooters have been introduced for student use at Mingachevir State University (MSU) in order to expand on-campus mobility opportunities and strengthen environmental sustainability initiatives.

This initiative is considered a continuation of the university’s ongoing efforts within the framework of its Green Campus concept, aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable transportation systems. The newly introduced scooters provide students with a more convenient, safe, and efficient means of transportation across the campus while also encouraging the use of environmentally friendly mobility solutions.

It was noted that the primary objective of the project is to foster ecological awareness among students, increase the use of alternative transportation methods, and further strengthen the culture of a “green lifestyle” within the university environment.

The initiative, which has been met with great interest by students, is expected to contribute to reducing automobile usage on campus, improving energy efficiency, and promoting the development of an environmentally sustainable university environment.

The MSU administration also stated that additional projects are planned for future stages to further expand the university’s green transportation infrastructure, including increasing the number of bicycles and other eco-friendly transportation options on campus.
