The training programme of the 5th “Cyber Summer School 2026” cyber summer camp, organised by the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organisations Association (ACOA), successfully continued on its second day. During the second day of training at the camp held in Mingachevir, participants attended theoretical and practical sessions covering the main areas of cybersecurity in the programme’s “Blue Team” group, taught in Azerbaijani, and “Red Team” group, taught in English.
As part of the second day’s programme, training sessions continued for both groups on “Network Security”, “Web Application Security”, “Scripting for Security”, and “Operating System Security”.
The sessions were conducted by Safarali Safarli, a Cybersecurity Engineer at Azercell Telecom LLC, a platinum member of ACOA, and specialists from the National Cybersecurity Centre of the State Security Service. During the training, participants acquired theoretical knowledge of the principles of network security, vulnerabilities commonly encountered in web applications and methods of addressing them, the development of scripts for cybersecurity purposes, and the protection of operating systems. They also enhanced their skills in these areas by completing practical assignments.
At the end of the day, an interactive quiz was organised to assess and reinforce the knowledge acquired by the participants during the training sessions.
It should be noted that the primary objective of the 5th “Cyber Summer School 2026” cyber summer camp, held from 6 to 11 July, is to contribute to the development of professional human capital in the field of cybersecurity in the country and to strengthen young people’s theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
In the coming days, the camp will continue with theoretical and practical training sessions covering various areas of cybersecurity, team assignments, cyber competitions, and other development-oriented activities.
