Mingachevir State University carries out its work in the Student Scientific Society (SSS) according to the Action Plan established by the Scientific Council of Mingachevir State University in connection with the implementation of the decree of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 06, 2016 "Regulation on the Organization of Scientific Research Work of Students in Higher Education Institutions", "Exemplary Regulations on Student Scientific Society", "Regulations of Student Scientific Society of Mingachevir State University", " "Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Education", " "Exemplary Charter of Higher Educational Institutions", " State Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan (October 24, 2013)", "On approval of Strategic Road Maps on the National Economy and Key Sectors of the Economy".
The main goal of MSU SSS is to implement scientific and organizational measures aimed at improving the quality of training of specialists with higher education, to preserve and increase scientific and technical potential, to assist the work of higher education institution in adapting the scientific research capacity of the students to the requirements of new socio-economic conditions.
The tasks of SSS of MSU are to involve students in scientific research activities, to promote various forms of scientific creativity among students based on the principle of the unity of Science, Education and experience, to assist in increasing the interest of young people in these forms and fundamental research, the creation of motivation in students for research activities and the study of scientific methods, the formation of a creative attitude in students to the chosen profession, teaching students methods and means of independent solutions to scientific, technical and economic issues, the implementation of cooperation with SSS of other higher educational institutions, ensuring the participation of students in organizing and conducting events of various levels - scientific seminars and conferences, student scientific papers, as well as course, graduation, dissertation research competitions, Olympiads in various specialties and subjects, discussion clubs, symposiums, listening to seminars and lectures of well-known scientists, to assist in attracting students to innovation activities, to involve students in the work (including paid) in scientific centers, technoparks, idea incubator and other institutions, to collect, disseminate information on intra-university and extra-university scientific events and to organize their placement on the website of the higher education institution, etc.
The structure of the student Scientific Society of Mingachevir State University includes: student scientific associations operating under the Department; Association of young scientists (sections) uniting scientific associations by Profile; course sections of the SSS responsible for the scientific work of students in each course; faculty sections of the SSS: "Economics and Management", "Education" and "Engineering" faculties.
In accordance with the requirements of the regulation, conferences on actual problems of Science, Education and Society of the Student Scientific Society are organized at each semester of the academic year at each faculty of the University.
Currently, the activity of the Student Scientific Society of Mingachevir State University is based on the "State Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 19, 2015 and " Azerbaijan 2030: national priorities for socio-economic development " approved by the Decree dated February 2, 2021 and it continues in the direction of implementation of the Action Plan.
