Department of Public Relations and Marketing

The Department of Public Relations and Marketing is responsible for covering the educational process, public life, and scientific, cultural, sports and other public events of the university; establishing relations with the public; conducting promotional activities during student admissions; managing social media accounts; establishing and maintaining relations with mass media; and providing other related services.

Work carried out in the department

The Department is guided in its activities by:

– current legislation;

– the university charter;

– the present job description.

The Department of Public Relations and Marketing should be familiar with:

– нормативе documents regulating public administration and local self-government, as well as the activities of mass media;
– ethical standards accepted in professional activities;
– office administration procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Department:

– Organizing and conducting press conferences, briefings and round tables with the participation of the university management, as well as accompanying official delegations traveling to other regions of the country and abroad;
– Providing methodological and organizational support to mass media in preparing materials about the university, its administration and structural units;
– Organizing the publication and participating in the preparation of information materials (articles, special programs and assignments);
– Preparing interviews, live broadcasts and speeches of the university management for mass media;
– Supporting a positive image of the university and its administration and forming appropriate public opinion;
– Organizing the оперативе collection and analysis of materials about the university published by information agencies and regional media;
– Timely preparation of press releases about events and activities related to the university and its structural units;
– Collecting responses related to all issues addressed to the university and publishing them on the university website.

Rights of the Department:

– To request and obtain information and documents from all structural units of the university in accordance with established procedures for the fulfillment of official duties;
– To participate, upon the instruction of the university administration, in all events, scientific council meetings, consultations and sessions held at the university and its structural units;
– To involve representatives of mass media and specialists from governmental and non-governmental organizations in accordance with established procedures;
– To submit proposals aimed at improving the activities of the university and its structural units;
– To propose to the university administration the rewarding of department heads and specialists, as well as disciplinary measures where appropriate;
– To submit proposals aimed at improving the efficiency of the university’s information system within the competence of the press service management;
– To undertake official business trips for organizing information materials in regional media outlets, for professional exchange and training purposes.

Responsibility of the Department:

– For failure to fulfill or inadequate fulfillment of official duties;
– For actions or inaction that result in violations of the legal rights and interests of citizens.
