The IT and Technical Support Department is one of the main structural units of Mingachevir State University (hereinafter referred to as MSU). It ensures information support for the educational, scientific-research, and training processes; promotes knowledge, science, and culture through modern methods; collects and preserves printed materials and electronic resources; organizes their systematic public use; and serves the development of the intellectual and moral potential of society.
Activities of the Center
The Department supervises the uninterrupted operation of the internal network and Internet access in order to ensure information exchange, as well as the provision of wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) services in university buildings. It provides technical maintenance for electronic equipment located in all structural units and classrooms of the University, ensures that they are in proper working condition, and supplies them with the necessary software. It monitors the University’s electronic resources and regulates the operation of the official website.
On a regular basis, the Department assists faculty members in preparing video lectures and uploading the completed video lessons to the University’s website, and continuously supports staff participation in various projects. The improvement of computer skills of employees and students is constantly given attention, and support is provided to them in this field.
The Department is involved in the organization of online and traditional classes, various events and conferences (online and offline), as well as in the preparation of programs, invitations, and congratulatory materials. The student admission process is also one of the main areas of activity of the Department.
