Awareness Training on the Impact of Oil and Gas Activities on Marine Ecosystems Held

Mingachevir – Organized by Mingachevir State University, an awareness training on the “Impact of Oil and Gas Activities on Marine Ecosystems” was held at Mingachevir City Secondary School No. 8. The training was conducted by Shabnam Islamova, a lecturer at the Department of Natural Sciences, with the aim of ecological education.

During the training, detailed information was provided on the impact of oil and gas extraction processes on marine ecosystems, water pollution, loss of biodiversity, disruption of marine habitats, and ways to prevent ecological risks. Participants were informed that the protection of marine ecosystems is crucial both for maintaining ecological balance and for preserving natural resources for future generations.

In her speech, Shabnam Islamova emphasized the importance of strengthening environmental safety measures in the oil and gas industry and highlighted the significance of educating young people in environmental protection.

The training, conducted in an interactive discussion format, allowed students to ask questions and exchange ideas on solving ecological problems. The event was met with great interest by the students.
