On December 26, 2025, an awareness-raising training was organized at Mingachevir State University within the framework of the project “Legal Struggle of Youth in Media”, implemented under the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” grant program of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The training brought together young people who are interested in the media field and who aim to develop their media literacy skills. The main objective of the event was to inform participants about the risks they may encounter in the modern information environment, explain the main methods of fact-checking, demonstrate the impact of disinformation, and raise awareness about digital security practices.

The training was conducted by Rasim Hasanov, a PhD student at Gazi University and a lecturer at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. During the session, he delivered a presentation on fact-checking mechanisms, methods of spreading disinformation, evaluating information in the media environment, and protecting personal data. Interactive discussions based on real-life examples were also held during the training.

Within the framework of the event, participants’ questions were answered, and the importance of responsible and secure behavior in the information and media space was emphasized.

It should be noted that the “Legal Struggle of Youth in Media” project aims to support the development of media literacy among young people, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and contribute to the formation of informed and responsible citizens who are better prepared to address digital risks.
