A meeting on “Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment” was held at Mingachevir State University

A meeting titled “Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment” was held at Mingachevir State University with the organization of the Department of Business and Management. Academic staff and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management, as well as invited entrepreneurs, participated in the event.

The opening speech was delivered by Emiliya Huseynova, Head of the Department of Business and Management. She emphasized that women’s entrepreneurship plays an important role in the socio-economic development of society, noting that women’s active participation in business activities makes a significant contribution to economic growth and the expansion of innovative initiatives. She also highlighted the importance of such meetings in developing students’ entrepreneurial skills and familiarizing them with real business experience.

Afterwards, Tahmina Nasibova, a lecturer of the Department of Business and Management, delivered a presentation on the topic. The presentation provided information about business initiatives established by women entrepreneurs operating in Azerbaijan, their role in the national economy, and the development trends of women’s entrepreneurship.

During the meeting, invited guests Gunel Mustafayeva, Director of “Green Blue” LLC, and Leyla Aghalarova, owner of the “Sag-Sahil” Confectionery House, shared information about their business activities. They spoke about the process of starting a business, the challenges they faced while building their enterprises, ways of overcoming these difficulties, and the role of women in the business world.

At the end of the event, students’ questions were answered and discussions were held on the future prospects of women’s entrepreneurship.

It should be noted that Mingachevir State University continues to organize such meetings and educational events aimed at fostering students’ entrepreneurial thinking, increasing their familiarity with the business environment, and helping them gain practical experience.
