“Public Sanitation and Hygiene Startups” Event Held at Mingachevir State University

Mingachevir State University hosted the “Public Sanitation and Hygiene Startups” event aimed at protecting public health, promoting hygiene culture, and encouraging innovative approaches in the sanitation sector. The event was jointly organized by the Lifelong Education School and the Public Relations and Marketing Department.

Within the initiative, participants analyzed existing challenges related to improving sanitation in public areas, reducing the risk of infectious disease spread, and promoting hygienic behaviors. They developed startup ideas based on real social needs and created implementable concepts through innovative solutions.

The ideas presented by the teams included smart sanitation monitoring systems, sensor-based solutions for measuring hygiene levels in public spaces, digital awareness platforms, and hygiene management systems for schools and public institutions. These approaches highlighted the role of technology in protecting public health.

The main goal of the event was not only to develop participants’ idea-generation skills but also to foster innovative thinking in social responsibility and public health. Startup approaches were directed at solving real problems while considering their economic and social impact.

During intensive teamwork, participants enhanced analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and project development skills in a short time. The ideas were evaluated in terms of technological feasibility and practical application potential.

In the final stage, projects were assessed by experts based on innovation, implementability, public benefit, and sustainability. The most promising startup ideas were selected, recommendations for their development were provided, and future collaboration opportunities were discussed.

The “Public Sanitation and Hygiene Startups” event was recognized as an important initiative that strengthens students’ innovative approaches to social challenges and fosters the development of new ideas at the intersection of health and technology.
