The First Meeting of the Scientific Council for 2026 Was Held at Mingachevir State University

On January 16, 2026, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of Mingachevir State University for the 2025/2026 academic year was held.

Rector Anar Eminov provided the Council members with detailed information about the issues included in the agenda.

One of the main topics on the agenda was the placement of undergraduate and graduate students for industrial and pedagogical internships. A report was presented on improving the quality of students’ industrial and pedagogical internships, expanding internship bases, and increasing cooperation opportunities. The report was adopted following relevant proposals and recommendations made by the members of the Scientific Council.

Afterwards, the issue of promoting the university and attracting new students was brought to the attention of the members of the Scientific Council. The rector’s report on this matter was heard, proposals regarding the more effective organization of the student admission process and the strengthening of promotional and outreach activities were discussed, and relevant instructions were given.

The meeting continued with the discussion of current issues. Within the framework of these matters, the “Regulations on the Implementation of the Incentive System for the Activities of the Academic Staff at MSU” were discussed and approved. In addition, a decision was adopted regarding the payment of non-salary financial assistance of an incentive nature to employees included in the staffing schedule.

At the same time, the issue of establishing individual study groups in full-time and part-time forms of education at MSU was discussed, and related proposals were heard.

At the end of the meeting, Rector Anar Eminov wished success to undergraduate and graduate students in the ongoing examination session and expressed his gratitude to the university staff for their efforts in organizing the examination process at a high level.
