Mingachevir State University organized an educational training on “Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Business Models.” The session was conducted by Təranə Suleymanova and Aynur Namazova from the Department of Business and Management, featuring detailed presentations.
The training highlighted the essence of social entrepreneurship—activities aimed at generating social value alongside profit. Participants were introduced to identifying social challenges, developing sustainable business models to address them, and understanding their role in reducing income inequality, increasing employment, and supporting vulnerable groups.
Topics such as social innovation, inclusive economic development, access to financial resources, and public-private partnerships were also discussed. Participants explored ways to promote initiatives that are sustainable and create societal value through social entrepreneurship.
The training was held in an interactive format, allowing participants to engage in discussions based on real-life examples, explore practical aspects of social entrepreneurship, and prepare to implement these approaches in their future activities.
As a result, the training provided participants with essential knowledge and skills in social entrepreneurship while fostering practical readiness to apply sustainable business models and generate societal impact.
