Scientific-Practical Seminar on “Water Scarcity and Climate” Held at Mingachevir State University

A scientific-practical seminar on the topic “Water Scarcity and Climate” was held at Mingachevir State University. During the seminar, current issues related to the depletion of water resources, the causes of climate change, and their impact on nature were discussed.

At the event, Gulmira Mammadova, a lecturer from the Department of Natural Sciences, delivered a presentation titled “Water Scarcity and Its Causes.” She spoke about the main factors contributing to the reduction of water resources globally and regionally, emphasizing the importance of the efficient use of water resources.

Later, Farida Hasanli, another lecturer from the same department, presented on “Global Climate Change and the Role of Human Activity in Its Formation.” She provided detailed information on the impact of industrialization, greenhouse gas emissions, and other anthropogenic factors on the climate.

Within the framework of the seminar, Natavan Valiyeva, a lecturer from the Department of Natural Sciences, delivered a presentation on “Climate Change and Sustainable Management of Drinking Water Resources.” She highlighted the importance of protecting water resources, managing them efficiently, and preserving them for future generations.

The event also featured a presentation by Ali Karimov, a student of the Chemistry and Biology Teaching program (group KB24), on “The Impact of Climate Change on the Animal World.” He discussed the effects of climate change on habitats, biodiversity, and the balance of ecosystems.

The seminar concluded with an exchange of views among participants on the importance of protecting water resources and combating climate change.
