The moderator of the seminar, senior lecturer of the Department of Natural Sciences R.Sh. Aghayeva, emphasized the relevance of the topic, highlighting that water is an indispensable resource both in human life and globally. She noted that protecting water resources from pollution is an important responsibility of every citizen.
During the seminar, several presentations were delivered. First, a presentation by R.Sh. Aghayeva on “Innovative technologies in industrial waste management and protection of sustainable water resources” was introduced. The report covered the types and characteristics of industrial waste, methods of wastewater treatment, and modern scientific and technological approaches.
Then, senior lecturer of the Department of Natural Sciences Vugar Sariyev delivered a presentation titled “Environmental law and approach.” He provided information about the environmental legislation system of the Republic of Azerbaijan, informing participants about laws such as “On Environmental Protection,” “On Environmental Safety,” the “Water Code,” the “Land Code,” and other normative legal acts.
At the end of the seminar, lecturer of the Department of Natural Sciences Gular Ismayilbeyli presented on “Reduction of industrial waste and preventive environmental strategies.” She spoke about preventive measures and noted that technology alone is not sufficient for the effective implementation of environmental management systems, emphasizing that the human factor also plays a crucial role.
