Scientific-Practical Visit on Reducing Industrial Wastewater Impact on Water Bodies

Staff and students of the Physics and Ecology Department of Mingachevir State University visited the city’s wastewater treatment plant for a scientific-practical excursion.

During the visit, the head of the treatment plant, Isa Hesenov, and process engineer Rashad Ajderzadeh provided detailed information to students and graduate students about the plant’s operation and methods to reduce the impact of industrial wastewater on water bodies.

It was noted that wastewater is treated using mechanical and chemical methods. The main components of the plant include the reception basin, aeration tanks (enriched with air), sedimentation tanks, pumping stations, and the sludge processing unit.

The visit is of great importance for enhancing students’ ecological knowledge and providing practical experience in the protection of water resources.
