Training on “Agriculture under Drought and Water Scarcity Conditions” Held at Mingachevir State University

A training session on “Agriculture under Drought and Water Scarcity Conditions” was held at Mingachevir State University. The training was delivered by Zivar Zeynalova, Head of the Department of Economics.

The training focused on managing drought and water scarcity risks, which are among the key challenges faced by the agricultural sector under current climate change conditions. Within the framework of the session, participants were provided with comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge on ensuring sustainability in agriculture, efficient water resource management, and the implementation of climate adaptation strategies.

During the training, the mechanisms of drought impact on agriculture, existing challenges in water resource management, and modern technologies applied in this field were systematically explained. Participants were also introduced to effective approaches for risk mitigation and maintaining agricultural productivity.

At the end of the session, participants’ questions were addressed, and discussions were held on the topic.
