A seminar on social justice and the responsibility of universities to society was held at Mingachevir State University

A seminar on the topic “Social Justice and the Responsibility of Universities to Society” was organized at Mingachevir State University (MSU). The event was held within the framework of cooperation of the university’s Department of Pedagogy and Psychology.

During the seminar, Nargiz Niftaliyeva, a lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, delivered a presentation on the topic. She provided detailed information about the concept of social justice and its important role in the development of society. It was noted that social justice is one of the fundamental principles that ensures equal access to rights, opportunities, and resources for all people, and this approach significantly contributes to the sustainable development of society.

During the presentation, it was emphasized that universities are not only institutions that provide education but also important centers that contribute to the social and intellectual development of society. It was noted that higher education institutions play a significant role in creating equal educational opportunities for everyone, expanding scientific research, and strengthening public awareness activities.

Within the framework of the seminar, an exchange of ideas was held with students on the topic, and the role of universities and young people in ensuring social justice was widely discussed. It was stated that the main purpose of the event was to strengthen students’ sense of social responsibility and contribute to the development of socially responsible citizens.

It should be noted that Mingachevir State University pays special attention to the formation of students based on social responsibility and civic values, and regularly organizes various educational seminars, trainings, and discussions in this direction.
