“Climate Week: Climate Change and Towards a Sustainable Future” Seminar Successfully Held at Mingachevir State University

Mingachevir State University (MSU) successfully hosted the seminar titled “Climate Week: Climate Change and Towards a Sustainable Future.” The event was moderated by the Head of the Department of Natural Sciences, Təranə Yusibova, providing a rich platform for scientific discussions on pressing climate change issues.

During the seminar, participants engaged in informative presentations and discussions on the ecological and societal impacts of climate change, as well as sustainable solutions.

Natavan Vəliyeva, a faculty member of the department, presented on “Ecological and Social Impacts of Climate Variability,” offering scientific insights into the effects of climate change on ecosystems and human life, supported by current examples.

Fəridə Həsənli delivered a presentation on “The Role of Technology in the Context of Climate Change: Solution Mechanisms and Risk Factors,” highlighting the role of modern technologies in addressing climate challenges, while also noting potential associated risks.

Fatimə Məmmədova presented “The Role of Greenhouse Gases in Climate Change,” explaining the main causes of global warming based on scientific evidence and emphasizing the importance of scientific knowledge in shaping climate policy.

The seminar concluded with interactive discussions among participants, and outstanding contributors were recognized and awarded as part of the “Climate Week: Climate Change and Towards a Sustainable Future” exhibition.

This event organized by MSU played a significant role in raising awareness about climate change, sharing scientific knowledge, and promoting sustainable approaches for the future.
