Mingachevir State University hosted the “Ecological Consumption Startup Ideas” competition aimed at promoting sustainable development principles, fostering environmentally responsible consumption habits, and supporting youth in generating innovative ideas in this field. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Energy and the Department of Natural Sciences.
Within the competition, participants analyzed the environmental impact of consumption habits and developed startup ideas promoting sustainable and responsible consumption. Teams created projects focused on reducing waste, reusing resources, promoting eco-friendly products, fostering green consumption behaviors, and optimizing consumption processes through digital solutions.
The main goal of the event was to encourage participants to approach ecological challenges from a different perspective and to develop innovative solutions capable of creating real impact. Participants presented comprehensive approaches that considered ecological effects, economic efficiency, and mechanisms influencing user behavior.
During the competition, participants worked intensively in teams, quickly developing their ideas into practical startup models. This process significantly contributed to enhancing their analytical thinking, creative approaches, and innovative problem-solving skills.
In the final stage, teams presented their startup ideas to the jury. Projects were evaluated based on innovation, contribution to sustainable consumption, implementation potential, and social impact.
