Department of Scientific Research and Innovation

The Department of Science and innovations is a structural unit of Mingachevir State University, organizes and coordinates the activities of the University in the field of scientific research and innovations.

The department was established as part of the structural reforms carried out at the University in 2019.

In its activity, the department is guided by the current laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decrees and orders of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, orders and instructions of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Charter of the University, orders and instructions of the rector of the Mingachevir State University.

Work carried out in the department

The department performs the following functions:

Conducts statistics of the university’s scientific potential and scientific-technical resources,
when determining the directions of scientific researches in the departments, it monitors their compliance with the priority development directions of the state in the relevant field, their relevance, theoretical and practical importance, the drawing up of current and prospective plans for scientific researches and the timely and full implementation of these plans.
records and monitors information on the results of the activities of University employees in the field of science and innovation;
informs the employees of the University about the events (conferences, symposiums, seminars, round tables, competitions, exhibitions, etc.) to be held at the local, republican and international level related to the field of science and innovations and provides possible organizational assistance to the employees who will participate in such events;
coordinates issues of preparation of scientific publications at the university.
