Training on Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle and Early Prevention of Infectious Diseases Held for Students of Mingachevir State University

On October 15, 2025, a training session on “Hygiene and Early Prevention of Infectious Diseases” was held through the joint organization of the Departments of Mechanics and Physics and Ecology of Mingachevir State University. The event aimed to expand awareness initiatives contributing to the formation of a healthy and safe society.

The training took place at the Regional Hospital operating in the city of Mingachevir and was attended by a group of university staff members, students, and hospital doctors. The session focused on strengthening health culture, promoting preventive behavioral habits, and increasing responsibility for public health.

During the training, Pəri Namazzadə, a lecturer from the Department of Mechanics, and Əfsanə Babayeva, a lecturer from the Department of Physics and Ecology, delivered detailed presentations on the importance of maintaining hygiene standards, the mechanisms of the spread of infectious diseases, and methods of their prevention. It was emphasized that early prevention and proper hygiene practices play a crucial role both in protecting individual health and ensuring public safety.

Nuran Əliyev, a physician at the hospital, provided comprehensive information on epidemiological viruses, timely preventive measures to control the spread of infections, and practical approaches to reducing risk factors. He also answered participants’ questions related to the topic. The speakers particularly highlighted that strengthening cooperation between healthcare and educational institutions contributes significantly to the development of a healthy society.

The training was met with great interest by participants and continued in an interactive discussion format.

It should be noted that the primary objective of the training was to enhance hygiene culture, strengthen awareness efforts against infectious diseases, promote the importance of early prevention, and encourage the development of a healthy and sustainably progressing community model.
