Department of International Relations and Cooperation

The International Cooperation Office of Mingachevir State University carries out its activities on the basis of the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and international agreements to which it is a party.

The international relations of Mingachevir State University (MSU) include bilateral cooperation with foreign universities, participation in international educational programs, involvement of foreign students, cooperation with relevant international organizations and other directions.

Work carried out in the department

Cooperation with foreign universities provides for the exchange of students and teachers, the implementation of joint summer schools and dual diploma programs, the organization of joint scientific conferences, seminars, and the exchange of mutually beneficial experiences. So far, MSU has signed bilateral cooperation agreements with higher education institutions of many countries of the world.

The activity in the field of teacher-student exchange on the” Erasmus + ” program is successfully continued. The number of our students who earned part of the credits gained during their studies at partner universities is growing rapidly. Within the framework of this program, students and academic staff are exchanged with Valladolid University of Spain, Timishoara Polytechnic and Transylvania Universities of Romania, Varna University of economics of Bulgaria, Istanbul Gedik University for Bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

In 2021, within the framework of the development of international relations, Mingachevir State University signed a cooperation protocol with Gazi University, Yildiz Technical University, KTO Karatay University, Istanbul Gedik University. It covers the organization of joint lectures between universities and MSU, the implementation of conferences, the mutual publication of scientific articles in the journals of universities, student-teacher exchange and other issues.

On October 2021, 27, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between MSU and Kiev National Economic University (KNEU). On October 2021, 29, Mingachevir State University (MSU) and Kyiv National University of Technology and Design (Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design-KNUTD) signed a memorandum of cooperation.

In 2021, the GEOCLIC Project “New disciplines on geospatial engineering to adapt coastal ecosystems to climate change” (“New Courses in Geospatial Engineering for Climate Change Adaptation of Coastal Ecosystems”), which provides for the development of areas suitable for higher education within the Erasmus+ program funded by the European Commission, in which MSU also participates, has been launched. Higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, Germany, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Romania and Turkmenistan will act as partners in the three-year project.
