On November 22, 2025, a training session on “Tourism Business” was organized for students studying tourism-related specialties at Mingachevir State University by the Mingachevir Regional Tourism Department.

The training was of great importance in terms of informing a broad audience about the development dynamics of the tourism sector, innovations taking place in the field, and the future prospects of the tourism business.

The event, held in the university’s assembly hall, was attended not only by students of Mingachevir State University but also by students of Mingachevir Tourism College.

Tourism expert Vugar Dargahov spoke about the growing role of the tourism sector in the economy and highlighted the future development directions of the field as well as the opportunities available for young people. He delivered a detailed presentation on international tourism practices, business models, real work examples, and the latest trends observed in the industry.

Throughout the training, students actively asked questions, participated in discussions, and deepened their knowledge in an environment enriched with practical examples.

It should be noted that strengthening both the theoretical and practical training of students is among the priority directions at Mingachevir State University. In recent years, consistent steps have been taken in this area within the framework of university–industry cooperation. To expand students’ internship opportunities, integrate them into real working environments, and enhance their practical competencies, cooperation ties are being established with various local and international tourism organizations.
