Seminar on the Protection of the Marine Ecosystem Held at Mingachevir State University

In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, a seminar titled “Awareness Trainings and Seminars on the Protection of the Marine Ecosystem” was organized at Mingachevir State University.

The event was conducted by Shabnam Islamova, lecturer of the Department of Natural Sciences. The main purpose of the seminar was to increase students’ knowledge and awareness regarding the protection of marine ecosystems, preservation of biodiversity, and environmental protection.

During the seminar, detailed information was provided on marine pollution, the impact of climate change on water ecosystems, as well as international practices and local initiatives in this field. It was emphasized that the protection of marine ecosystems is important not only from an ecological perspective but also from a socio-economic point of view.

Students participating in the event actively engaged in discussions on the topic, asked questions, and exchanged views on practical approaches and opportunities for individual contribution. At the end of the seminar, participants were given recommendations that could be applied in everyday life regarding environmental protection.

It should be noted that such awareness-raising events play an important role in promoting sustainable development goals and increasing environmental awareness at the university.
