Rector of Mingachevir State University Anar Eminov met with students participating in “YayFest " in Shamakhi

On July 10, 2025, Anar Eminov, Rector of Mingachevir State University (MSU), met with students during a panel discussion titled ‘Successful Synergy of National Identity and Sovereign Thought in Education,’ organized as part of ‘YayFest’ in Shamakhi.

The panel session, which focused on the modern educational model, the preservation of national identity, the development of strategic and sovereign mindsets, and future career prospects for the youth, was attended by students representing various higher and secondary education institutions across Azerbaijan. Moderated by Rashad Zeynalov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations’ Union, the panel session also hosted Gulu Novruzov, Head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, and Sayavush Gasimov, Rector of Baku Eurasian University.

Within the framework of the panel, Rector Anar Eminov engaged in a  a sincere dialogue with the youth and shared his views on topics such as the formation and instillation of national identity and cultural values ​​at the university, the unity of sovereign thinking and national identity, ways to form practical skills required for the future career of young people, the importance of additional skills required in the labor market in addition to academic indicators, the social aspects of the concept of “successful graduate”, as well as the transformation strategies of universities in the era of digitalization and artificial intelligence, and the importance of young people acquiring new skills in this environment.

At the meeting, which was held with the active participation of students, the rector emphasized that university education carries the mission of not only transferring knowledge, but also shaping personality. He called on young people to be socially active, committed to national-moral values and to balance between global thinking and local responsibility.

At the end of the panel, questions raised by the participants were answered, their proposals were heard, and discussions were held.
