Students of the RI 22.1 and RI 22.2 groups studying at the Faculty of Education of Mingachevir State University participated in a practice-based inclusive observation session titled “Inclusive Development Models and Social Justice Mechanisms” at the Child and Family Support Center located in Mingachevir city. The event was organized under the supervision of lecturers of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Zulfiya Tanriverdiyeva and Gunel Najafova.
The main objective of the session was to observe the inclusive development model in a practical environment, study the application of social justice principles in a real educational setting, and foster students’ skills such as empathy, collaboration, and social responsibility.
Within the framework of the activity, joint creative and developmental exercises were organized for students and children involved in inclusive education. During the activities, students and children engaged in coloring illustrations based on fairy tales and literary works, as well as assembling puzzles designed to develop cognitive abilities, logical thinking, and sensorimotor coordination. This process contributed to strengthening social integration among children and ensured opportunities for interaction and equal participation.
During the session, the students also observed children’s participation in the learning process and became closely acquainted with the experience of collaborative learning among children with different developmental characteristics in an inclusive environment.
It should be noted that such practical initiatives implemented at Mingachevir State University to promote inclusive education and the principles of social justice play an important role in developing students’ professional competencies, fostering a sense of social responsibility, and contributing to the development of an inclusive society.
