“Technology Startups for Peace and Justice” Competition Held at Mingachevir State University

Mingachevir State University hosted a startup competition titled “Technology Startups for Peace and Justice” with the aim of enhancing legal transparency, expanding access to justice, and promoting the application of technology in this field. The event was organized through the joint collaboration of the university’s Faculty of Law and Faculty of Engineering, providing participants with the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that integrate law and technology.

Within the framework of the competition, participants analyzed existing problems in the justice system and developed technology-oriented projects aimed at addressing them. Teams presented innovative solutions focused on facilitating access to legal services, creating digital legal platforms, increasing transparency, ensuring secure data management, and protecting citizens’ rights.

The main objective of the event was to familiarize participants with the application possibilities of technology in the legal field and to encourage them to propose practical solutions to real-world problems. While developing their projects, participants took into account technical justification, legal compliance, and social impact factors.

During the competition, participants worked intensively in a team-based environment and, within a short period, transformed their ideas into functional projects. This process significantly contributed to the development of their analytical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative approach skills.

In the final stage, teams presented their startup projects to the jury panel. The evaluation was based on key criteria such as the innovativeness of the ideas, implementation potential, legal and technological compatibility, as well as their contribution to justice and transparency. The most successful projects were selected and specially recognized.
