On April 26–27, 2026, 15 female students from Mingachevir State University (MSU) participated in the two-day intensive project titled “A New Beginning with Artificial Intelligence”, organized by Trendyol, PASHA Holding, and Women in Tech Azerbaijan.

The project was organized in the format of an artificial intelligence camp at the Kur Arena Hotel and brought together students from various specialties of the university’s Faculties of Engineering, Economics and Management, and Education.

The initiative was implemented in line with the theme of the 2026 International Girls in ICT Day — “AI for Development: Girls Shaping the Digital Future.”

The main objective of the project was to develop the knowledge and skills of girls aged 18–25 living in the regions in the field of artificial intelligence, enhance their ability to effectively use AI tools, and support the transformation of their acquired knowledge into future career opportunities.

During the two-day intensive program, participants received both theoretical and practical training on the application areas of artificial intelligence technologies, digital transformation processes, innovative technological solutions, and the role of AI skills in the modern labor market.

In addition, the participants took part in various practical assignments and interactive sessions focused on teamwork, problem-solving, creative thinking, and technological innovation.

It should be noted that strengthening students’ digital competencies, encouraging their involvement in innovation- and technology-oriented initiatives, and promoting women’s participation in STEM and artificial intelligence fields are among the priority areas of activity at Mingachevir State University.
